Being the Academic Director at Robson College is both challenging and very rewarding. My objective is to create a warm, friendly yet strict, well organized environment for students as well as instructors. Having spent 8 years in Japan and Taiwan as a teacher trainer and recruiting director for a large chain of schools, I consider myself fortunate to be a part of the ESL world. My greatest passions are my family, teaching and traveling: experiencing new cultures and languages.
Formerly, I also taught essay writing at Robson College. Writing in a second language is likely one of the most difficult areas to gain confidence and fluency in : yet I was constantly touched by the dedication and effort made by my writing students. Motivating and bonding with them, while noting their improvement, made for many golden moments in teaching. I also believe in the power of humor; my laughter and that of my students could often by heard throughout the school.
Learning another language is very difficult but it should also be fun and rewarding. To that end, we are consistently engaged in creating and developing new programs which are innovative, stimulating and academic; we strive to challenge our students to do their very best.
